Sunday marked the 36th week (!) of Kristin’s pregnancy. From what everyone has told us (books, friends, doctor, etc.), go-time could be pretty much any day from now until our due date (Jan. 17th).

Because 36 Weeks is the “you better get ready” milestone, we started making final preparations to make sure that we are ready when the day comes. Kristin put together her hospital bag (with a toothbrush for me) and we installed the car seat bases in our cars.

In her car, we put the base in the middle, and in my car we had to put it behind the passenger seat. As a fair warning to all future base putter-inners, read the instructions and then after reading the instructions, take a few deep breaths. I don’t know how it was for everyone else, but it was really tough to get these things latched in (not using the seat belt) in our vehicles.
It’s pretty crazy to be driving around now with this thing in the back seat of my car, knowing that, one day very soon there’s going to be this awesome little dude back there riding with me.
